# Shorter Loop

Shorter Loop covers the work a product team does end to end: strategy
and objectives, continuous discovery, roadmapping, prioritisation,
customer feedback, and delivery. These sit in one connected graph, so a
roadmap item names the objective it serves, the claims it rests on, and
the evidence behind each claim.

Every artifact in the system — opportunity, objective, solution,
experiment, persona, pain point, idea, roadmap item, and any document a
team imports — is decomposed into claims. Each claim carries a state:
claimed, unsupported, corroborated, or contradicted. States are derived
strictly from accepted evidence links, never from model opinion, and are
recomputed as new information arrives — so a decision that was
corroborated last quarter shows as contradicted once something later
cuts against it.

Sage is the reasoning layer (Socratic Analysis Grounded in Evidence).
Sage turns artifacts into claims and the evidence behind them — what a
customer said, what was decided, what an experiment showed, what shipped
— then keeps testing whether those claims still hold, backing the bets
that survive and challenging the ones that stop holding, while they are
still cheap to change. Sage names specific failure modes from a
52-mode catalogue of product decision failures and cites the evidence
for each. It never scores a roadmap: no composite number, no grade, no
percentage. It declines to answer when the evidence is thin, and marks
any turn where reasoning runs past firm evidence.
