Labs · Free tools, no account

Small tools that make a team say the number out loud.

Every tool here takes something a product team already believes — a plan, a shared assumption, a list of things they agreed to do — and returns a figure they can argue with. Free to use, nothing to install, and they work whether or not you ever buy anything from us.

Strategy Prompts

Live

Run a strategy discussion where everyone writes their answer before anyone speaks. Pick a prompt, the room answers independently, then all the answers reveal at once.

Most alignment is an artefact of who spoke first. Writing before revealing takes that out, and what’s left is the actual spread of opinion in the room — including the question everyone assumed was settled.

  • 36 prompts, 12 categories
  • Real-time, up to a full leadership team
  • Room code, no login

Forcast Wiz

Live

Draw your business model on a canvas, put ranges into it instead of single numbers, and get the probability of hitting your targets.

A plan built from single-point estimates is a plan that can only be wrong quietly. Give each input a low and a high, run it ten thousand times, and the output is a distribution you can take to a board — including the month the cash runs out in the bad cases.

  • Monte Carlo, 10,000 runs
  • Fan charts, runway, unit economics
  • Shareable result card

Lean Retro

Live

Anonymous lean-coffee retrospectives, with the part nobody usually keeps: a count of what the team decided and what actually happened afterwards.

Topics get submitted before the meeting and voted on anonymously, so the agenda comes from the team rather than the loudest person in it. Over a few sessions the analytics start naming the things that keep coming back and keep getting parked.

  • Dot voting, time-boxed rounds
  • Zombie topics, orphaned actions
  • Open source, MIT licensed

Contradiction Detector

In build

Point it at your strategy docs, PRDs and roadmap, and it lists the places where two of them say opposite things.

Nothing to try yet. It’s here because we’d rather show the shelf than pretend the shelf is full, and because this one is the reason the others exist.

  • Reads what you already wrote
  • Cites the two lines that disagree

Why these are free

The honest version.

We build a product called Shorter Loop. It keeps a product decision traceable from the strategy that justified it down to the work that ships, and tells you where the evidence has gone missing. It costs money.

These tools are how people meet us. Each one does a small piece of the same job for free, permanently, with no account and no email gate on the result. If you use Lean Retro every fortnight for three years and never speak to us, that’s a fine outcome — the tool still works.

What we get is the chance to be useful before we’re persuasive. That seems like the right order.
